In the recent days the media has been paying close attention to the bailout. The AFP gathered several sources to show that the bailout has recieved blanket coverage from all media sources. Also no one has been left unblamed.
"Congress' rejection of the 700-billion-dollar bailout of the US financial system got blanket coverage in the US media Tuesday ," AFP reported.
From the New York Times to the Washington Post headlines read of the failures on Wallstreet. I think that is is important that the media investigates this completely, because this is important to everyone.
Conservative New York Times columnist David Brooks ripped into the country's political leaders, saying they "failed utterly and catastrophically to project any sense of authority, to give the world any reason to believe that this country is being governed."

You have a good point. This is a serious issue that the media should pay more attention too. I think that the media may not see this as a big issue because of the reactions that this may have on America. The media only likes politics when it has to do with an individual person.
I so upset that congess passed the bail-out because if I'm not mistaken that will increase our taxes. I was hoping that the bill did not get passed. I dont know if this is a good thing for the economy or a bad thing.
Yeah I am not a big fan of the bail-out either. It doesn't seem like its helping anybody but the banks.
Im not sure what to think on the Bail Out plan because it has its benefits and its drawbacks. I think Congress should have waited a little longer though, before passing this because I dont believe they thought it through fully. I do believe that the media should have covered the topic a little better.
I don't see how the bailout is going to help anyone. I mean after these banks are bailed out, who is going to bailout the people who do not have homes anymore. I don't know how other people feel but I feel like if we gave people the money to help out with their mortgages most people would gladly accept it. I am not saying that the government should buy out people's houses but maybe we should take a look at that option. It worked during the Great Depression, it might work now.
Who says bailing out these banks is going to help our economy at all. I think they should have thought of a way to not only help the banks but the citizens as well. Lord knows we need it.
I think after the first bailout plan, those politicans freaked out because of the dip in the stock markets. Then they just added a bunch of crap to the original bailout plan and they hope that it gets passed. It's sad.
From what I read. The bill being passed has tax cuts for numerous people including small businesses. I do hope the media covers all aspects of the bill and what the outcome will be of it being passed.
Im not too sure on my feelings about this issue. For one, im not educated enough about it, but also as far as I know it will raise our taxes, which I am completely against! :(
