Economy: Main Focus

President Bush is counting down the days until leaves Capitol Hill. Now with the economic crisis, it looks as if any other plans that were in the works, will now have to be thrown out the window.

The New York Times focuses on how dramatically the economic will change anything Bush wanted to achieve while still in office. Just ten days ago, the White House was talking about maybe getting a energy bill through.

Now, it's time to sell the $700 billion bailout plan.

“The bailout’s all that’s left,” said one Republican strategist who has consulted frequently with the administration.

I am sure Bush is ready to be done with everything. He has just over a hundred days left. The economic crisis is probably not the best way to end a presidency.

Bush is probably very happy that he doesn't have to deal with any of these issues anymore. I find it a little unusual that the media hasn't really been paying attention to him at all recently. I wonder what he personally thinks about the candidates running for office. The economy is getting worse and we need a dramatic change.

Hopefully the economic crisis will be resolved by whoever becomes the new president. I think there is going to be a great amount of pressure for the new president because there is a lot that needs to be fixed.

I think President Bush is ready to get his term over with all will. His is like one of the most hated men in America, and he's the President! I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad thing that he plans for our future is not going to be used, but I hope the economy gets better soon.

Hopefully, whoever becomes president fixes this huge economic problem we are having. We have to remember that just because this is seemingly the most important issue at the time, there are still many issues that are just as important as this one. It is sad that our economy has gotten this bad and those big guys in Washington have let it get this far.

I hope the current president has nothing to do with the economic resolution. Plain and simply, I believe he is a idiot. Both of the next candidates have more the offer in my opinion.

i really hope that this is the last mess Bush is linked to before he leaves. He will truly go down in history as the most hate president to date. This economic crisis could really lead to disaster if we don't handle it right. I saw an article that the democrats had taken credit for the bailout plan. Thats a good idea for the democrats, because otherwise no one would have any faith in this bailout.

I think Bush is relieved that he is soon going to be out of office as bad as that sounds. He hasnt helped the economy much, and I hope the future President will.
