The press is buzzing today about Obama's comment about putting lipstick on a pig. Some networks chose to show both sides, while others did not.
Gothamist ran an article today to show that in an election everything counts. But to be fair they did show both sides. Obama stated, "You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."
According to the Mccain/ Palin camp this was a sexist comment and Obama owes Palin an apology. Yet I find it very interesting that Mccain used this same comment towards Clinton and her healthcare plan.
Yet other media sources took a different route and displayed simply how the Mccain Camp felt about the comments. Interestingly enough it was in Austrailia.
I feel that this is very important because this comment is being taken too far and the media is not helping for the most part. Its crazy that Mccain made the same comments as Obama, yet he does not need to say sorry.

I think there is a lot of media just disregards with the GOP. I mean like the whole thing about McCain leaving first wife after her accident, for the younger, richer and more beautiful Cindy. It is a tragic and horrible story and for that he pretty much makes me sick. I have also heard that up until the election McCain has be known to make sexist and racist jokes. The whole Sarah Palin's daughter being pregnant thing trying to be played off like it is nothing when it goes against conservative values and proves that conservative values no longer apply to current day. The media just lets the GOP get away with anything and it uses the media to draw out every slightly disgraceful thing that the Democrats do or say and twists it into something crazy. The media is just ridiculous sometimes.
kristen I never thought I would say this but you are right, the media did go way over board. This whole deal with slurred, racist and bias comments against the affiliating party is crazy. Obama said what he said because that is simply what he believes in, the same goes for McCain. The media just feels that it is ironic because of the whole dramatic issue that McCain's partner Palin is going through. This entire thing always goes back to her issues.
Yeah, I actually just heard about his statement this morning on the radio. I do not believe Obama was being sexist all his is doing is playing the game of politics. McCain made comments earlier towards Obama saying that he was dirty, ignorant, and not ready to lead a country. Obama's campaign felt that McCain was being a racist. Neither Obama nor McCain should have said the things that they said.
I have been following this as well. I do agree Mccain has taken it to far. He is whining because even though the polls are closing he is still not the projected winner. He is slinging mud because that is his only hope to win. Propaganda should be a crime.
I think it is disgusting the way both parties are acting. However, politics are always going to be like this. In my opinion, politicians are grown men or women acting like children. They are going to call eachother names and do whatever it takes to win.
I think this is one of the more ridiculous stories to come out recently. We Americans really love a good controversy. But honestly i think McCain is being a vengeful, angry, little old man. The only thing this back to back catfight is missing is a reality TV crew.
I think that both campaigns are taking this to the limits. I see both sides of the candidates, and lean more towards Obama but I just cant understand what the media is thinking. THis is the most bizarre election, and its only getting worse as the days go on.
