As Mccain overtakes Obama in the polls, blogs have taken the role as advice givers to Obama.
They advise him to talk about his message, style, and themes. For example, Mark Halperin wants Obama to talk more about the economy. Ellen Malcolm of Emily's List says, "Talk about who really is able to change the direction of this country."
Slate, an online media source, reviewed all of the advice Obama has recieved during the election. The list is long and most of it has been ignored. Everyone has an opinion though and feels it is necessary to share their two-cents.
I think that many people think that Obama will heed their advice (even though we all know he won't follow much of it, nor would that be very smart!) and that is probably a large reason why he is breaking fundraising records. These are really tough times and everyone just wants their voice to be heard.
The important thing is though, that people are getting involved. I am happy to see people actually becoming informed about the issues.

Kristen, you are right it is good that everyone is so dogmatic that they think every bit of advice that they may have for Obama may be useful. It is a way to keep the nation involved, however Obama doesn't nee half of whst these people suggest. I think that so far he is doing a great job and hopefully it will show when it comes timeto vote. On a media perspective blogs are very useful for comments such as poliical advice etc.
I think to be the president you need to listen to the voice of the people. Obviously Obama does not have time to read these blogs, but he should definitely be aware of them. I bet some of the people have good ideas.
I think that sometimes people forget that Obama is a person too. I have no doubt that he is doing his best, but there is no way that he can follow everyone's advice. To see so many people voicing an opinion is great though, especially to see that so many people are becoming excited enough about politics to form opinions on the platforms.
Ever since McCain came into the electon I dont here much from Obama. What ever he is doig that is taking him away from the public's eye he needs to stop and let the public know what he plans to do for us because I love Obama!
I can not wait till this Saturday when Obama comes to Jax. To bad I have to work but I know the turn out will blow Mccain's visit out of the water. Obama is slipping right now because of Mccain's pick of Sarah palin and the surge of publicity. He does need to do some things differently but I believe we need to just wait till the debates and watch him rip that geezer apart.
Obviously Obama can't take every little bit of advice or fanmail he receives but im sure he has a whole team of people that surf the web every single day to find negative and positive aspects of his daily campaign.
As far as Obama taking online advice, I think that his camps have spent enough time researching their strategies to win this election. Altough, your right I think its very interesting to see what people are posting on blogs, etc and their pov.
